At the end of 2025, our team rolled up our sleeves to raise funds for some special therapies for the children at the Iris Centre in Varna. We sold books, collected donations and, thanks to your trust and generosity, we managed to take 25 children to three additional therapies – biofeedback, neurofeedback and the sensory room.
Children are not diagnoses
When a child receives a diagnosis, it often starts to sound like a sentence.
“He won’t be able to…”
“Shehas no chance of…”
“We have to accept things…”
We do not believe in that.
Children with disabilities are not beyond help.
A diagnosis describes a condition – it does not determine the future.
With the right support, perseverance and hard work, children have a real chance to develop skills, independence and live a life of dignity.
How the three therapies help
Neurofeedback, biofeedback and work in the sensory room help children achieve a better balance between their brain, body and emotions. Through these, children learn to calm themselves, concentrate more easily, understand their body’s signals and feel more secure in their surroundings. With regular practice, these therapies support the development of skills, confidence and independence, giving children a real chance for progress and a better quality of life.
Why consistency is key
No therapy is a ‘miracle in a week’.
Real change comes with regular practice, patience and belief in the child.
When we give the brain and body a chance to learn,
when we support the child rather than writing them off,
the results begin to appear – sometimes slowly, but genuinely.
Our convinction
We believe that:
every child has potential
support changes lives
access to therapy should not be a luxury
Support for these 25 children is an investment not only in them, but in a more humane society.
Because children with disabilities are not a lost cause.
They are children. And they deserve a chance.
If you’d like to support them too, you can buy a cookbook created together with the children or some martenitsas, or simply make a donation here.
